Carlos Arroyave is the driving force behind Arroyave Consulting. As a metallurgical engineer from the University of Antioquia, with a Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a PhD in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid, and advanced postdoctoral training at the Swedish Corrosion Institute in Stockholm, Carlos has built a career spanning over 45 years dedicated to the field of science, technology, and innovation.
His wealth of experience includes working with esteemed institutions such as The World Bank, serving as the Vice President for Science Innovation and Development at Universidad Antonio Nariño, Deputy Director of Programs of Innovation and Business Development at the National Institute for S-T&I for the Government of Colombia (currently the Ministry of S-T&I), and Founder of the Center for Research, Innovation, and Development of Materials and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Antioquia (Medellin). He has also held prestigious roles as the President of the International Corrosion Council (ICC), the Ibero-American Association of Corrosion and Protection, and the Colombian Corrosion Association.
Carlos is known and respected as a leading consultant in both the public and private sectors, a dedicated educator, and a visionary leader.
